Google Video: Bussard's Research into IEF

Google has a video of a November 9, 2006 report by Dr. Robert W. Bussard on his research into the development of a working Inertial-Electrodynamic Fusion (IEF) Device--and you can tell, he and his team are close, oh so close to a working model.

The video is pretty technical, but the gist of it is that Bussard and his team may have found a way to create a sustained fusion reaction without toxic waste products. His current problem is funding--the physics problems have been solved, only the engineering problems remain. I seriously hope he finds funding soon; this is the sort of stuff that made people fall in love with Science Fiction in the first place.
