Happy Black Noodle Day!
Once again, I have managed to complete and mail my Income Taxes (both State and Fed) by the skin of my teeth. You'd think I'd get the damn thing done ahead of time, given that my brief stint of unemployment has taught me a thing or two about being prepared. Some habits still need shaking.
Yesterday was "Black Noodle Day" (also known as "Black Day"), a South Korean and Japanese tradition for those who didn't give or receive Valentine's Day or White Day (3/14) gifts; the members of "Unit Solo/Solo Regiment" get together and have a meal of white noodles in black bean sauce. Personally, I think it should be celebrated on 4/15 in the US, so we can commiserate the annual big bite taken out of our collective posterior by the State and Fed. Might as well combine our heartache with our financial pain.
Off to cook up some spaghetti.
